[MacTUG] Not happy about Lion

I used to put the Directory Services Status on the login screen with:

defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow AdminHostInfo DSStatus 
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4787
seems to say that should still work but it seems to just do the same as
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow AdminHostInfo HostName

Even if I could get it to work, the user would have to click on the clock
in the upper right instead it being in their face in 10.6.
