Hi friends!

Hope y'all are doing well in this wet November time <3 We know crunch time
is just about here, and things are stressful. FemPhys has a couple events
coming up to help you develop skills to manage stress in academic
situations, and we're really excited about them.

*Imposter Syndrome Workshop*
*Nov 14   12:30 - 2:30 pm  QNC 1507  *facebook event
<https://www.facebook.com/events/179052239700781/>
Imposter syndrome is seriously widespread in academia---that awful
persistent feeling that, regardless of your accomplishments, you just don't
belong. Join us for a workshop meant to help each of us address the feeling
of being an imposter with Dr Renée Hložek from the University of Toronto.

snacks provided - everyone welcome

*How to Conference: A workshop*
*Nov 16  2:00 - 3:30 pm  MC 2035  *facebook event
<https://www.facebook.com/events/2254178588134508/?active_tab=about>
Conferences can be terrifying no matter what stage of learning you're at.
Join us to learn about managing anxiety & energy, how to make the best of
your time, and what conferences are for anyway. We'll do some
boundary-assessing exercises and talk critically about conference design.

Upper years and early grad students especially welcome!
snacks provided - everyone welcome

Here's hoping your next week is a little less wet and as easy as it can be.

thanks for listening <3
