QuTech Group Leader and Faculty Position in Theory & Applications of
Current Quantum Devices at QuTech

The successful candidate is a theorist who is foremost interested and
able to work closely with some of the experimentalists in quantum
computing at QuTech. The candidate has knowledge and research interests
in subjects such as quantum algorithms, analog/digital quantum
simulation, variational quantum optimization methods, quantum machine
learning, quantum error correction or quantum benchmarking. Depending on
the applicant’s profile, the group leader position at QuTech can be
embedded as an assistant professor position at the Faculty of Electrical
Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS). The embedding at
EEMCS should be based on synergy between the research program of the
candidate and the research and teaching activities in either electrical
engineering, computer science or mathematics. In this case, the
candidate is expected to participate in the teaching of courses in
quantum technology and other subjects in EEMCS.
