[MacTUG] Mac Mail settings

Not sure if this has come up before.

I've had an issue with sending mail for a faculty member in CS using Mac 
Mail.  Using the Connect mail server we found that occasionally mail 
would be stuck in the Outbox.

It seems that Mac Mail configuration set to "Automatically manage 
connection settings" would occasionally choose port 25 for sending mail 
instead of port 587.

I've set it manually now to use 587 always.

Have any of you noticed the same problem?
