[MacTUG] You might run into "The macOS Installation couldn't be completed"

Only 3 machines out of hundreds ... different hardware ... probably 10.13.6 Security Updates the only common factor.
Rebooting the machine while holding down shift (Safe Mode) and installing the update worked for 2.
The other one I had to upgrade to 10.14 to get past the issue (option-command-R probably easiest way).
