What is happening? The below WCMS web spaces will be temporarily unavailable to site owners and visitors as a result of the July 11 Netapp upgrade<https://uwaterloo.ca/information-systems-technology/news/netapp-storage-maintenance-july-11>:

*         collaborate

*         pilots

*         uwat.ca (including redirects hosted here)

*         WCMS redirect server (including all IST hosted redirects)
When is this happening? Saturday, July 11 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
What is the impact? The listed WCMS web spaces will be unavailable during this maintenance window.
After the upgrade is complete: You can continue to work on your site as usual. Report any issues immediately.

Subject: Netapp storage maintenance - July 11


What is happening? Virtual Machines (VMs) hosted on the netapp "crumb" will be migrated to a new storage environment.

When is this happening? Saturday, July 11 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

What is the impact? Discussions with service owners will determine if alternate arrangements need to be made to migrate the host before the outage so that the vm will not need to be halted.



What will users need to do? VM owners should either make arrangements to have their "critical" machine moved or simply avoid its use during the outage window.
