[MacTUG] Creating a MAC VM on Hyper-V

Unfortunately, I have to concur. Up to Mac OS 10.8.2 there is currently no legal possibility of virtually running mac OS on a windows box. This is from both VMWare and Apple licensing contract. We had
VM personnel at the University last year to discuss this possibility. At that time they were hopeful to
come to an arrangement with Apple. No problem the other way around - windows, linux, etc. on an
Apple device (use vm fusion, parallels 8, bootcamp, or virtualbox). I have built a hackintosh - cannot
do updates and audio drivers are a pain.

Hi Lowell

You can't do it. OK, you can't do it legally. Google 'hackintosh' and you will see how it is done if you are technically interested (but it would not be something you would do in a work environment, obviously). And no, I have not tried it.

I’d be interested in speaking with anyone who’s created a MAC VM on a Windows box (either VMWare or Hyper V).

Thanks,
