[MacTUG] Mac Pro Radeon conflict

Hi Richard,

Soory for not responding earlier.  I am manning Apple Booth at Ontario University Fair today and this weekend.

It's not a power supply issue.  The messages indicates a video driver issue.

This video card is not officially support on the Mac Pro 2008.  See compatibility section on the store.

Question? Why would you want 2600 in the machine when the 5770 can drive two displays much faster than having the 2600 in the machine?

The 2008 Mac Pro could support

or 

2 x Two ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB

3 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB

or

4 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB

Point here is even in 2008 we didn't support multiple video card unless they were all 2600.  Think this is due to PCIe lane support ability.

PS. The Cinema 22" is the old (1999/2000) display with old ADC connector.  This may also be a problem.
My opinion only... but that old LCD would be easily surpassed by even an entry level VGA display and certainly by our our current 27" Display. http://www.apple.com/displays/
