[MacTUG] Permissions/Very Disk Issues

Hello,

Our server:

XServe (2.66 Dual-Core Intel Xeon)
4GB RAM
2x700 GB Hard Drives (Mirrored)

Running OS X Server 10.4.11

Running Verify Disks using Disk Utility on one of the drives yields  
the follow error message:

'First Aid failed
Disk Utility stopped verifying "Server HD" because the following  
error was encountered:

The underlying task reported failure on exit.'

Now on the screen it did say the Volume needs repair but it wouldn't  
let me repair it.

Does anyone know what might be the problem and how to fix it?
