IST's web page is at http://ist.uwaterloo.ca/istweb/mediadisposal.html and it mentions Disk Utility but it should say to use the 7-Pass Erase which meets DOD 5220-22 M standard and that it is reached via the Security Options button under the Erase tab. Dani
