[MacTUG] New Apple keyboard bootup keys not working on mini

It appears that the new Apple keyboard doesn't work quite right on  
bootup when using keys such as T - target and C - to boot from CD.

The CPU was a Mac mini (intel) and with the new Apple keyboard, it  
would not boot into disk target mode, nor would it boot off the CD.
Replaced the keyboard with a old (white) Apple one, and everything  
worked as expected.

Anyone experience the same sort of thing? Ideas on how to get the new  
keyboard to properly work in this regard?
