Subscribers to this list receive announcements of events and initiatives related to the Women in Computer Science (WiCS) committees of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. WiCS aims to promote gender equity in computing by advocating for and supporting women, trans, gender-fluid, gender-queer, and non-binary students enrolled in computer science, software engineering, and related undergraduate programs at the University of Waterloo. Additionally, WiCS seeks to advocate on the behalf of, include, and support members of all underrepresented groups in the fields of technology and computing. WiCS uses this list to send regular (generally monthly) announcements of upcoming events of interest to women and non-binary computing students at Waterloo. Some WiCS events are open to all students, faculty, and staff. To post a message to all the list members, send email to wics-undergrads@lists.uwaterloo.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to WiCS-undergrads
Subscribe to WiCS-undergrads by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
