About QFS	English (USA)
The Queer Film Series (QFS) strives to build community amongst 2SLGBTQIA+ faculty, staff, and students (and their allies!) through the critical exploration of diverse queer experiences portrayed in film. The QFS series offers an inclusive environment to discuss these experiences, challenge stereotypes and misconceptions, and appreciate the many facets of queer culture. Each monthly screening opens with a short lecture to provide background and context to the film. After each screening, attendees are welcome to stay and reflect on the film and engage in a discussion of the film’s contributions to queer culture and/or how the film connects with their own personal experience. Important Note: Screenings are only open to members of the University of Waterloo students and employees and registration is required. As such, those registering for this list must use a "uwaterloo.ca" email address. This mailing list will be used to communicate updates on upcoming film screenings, solicit feedback from list members on upcoming film screenings, and identity potential guest speakers to introduce the films. Using QFS
To post a message to all the list members, send email to qfs@lists.uwaterloo.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to QFS
Subscribe to QFS by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
