Dear Colleagues,

The group led by Prof. Miyake at the University of New Mexico (UNM) embarks on a new project, which aims to apply explicitly correlated electronic structure theory in quantum chemistry to quantum algorithms and simulation. I am seeking your kind help to identify potential postdoctoral candidates, who have interests in both computational chemistry and quantum computation, ideally with some experience in numerical simulations.

Please direct potential candidates to me for further information and details on this NSF-funded postdoctoral position. Feel free to forward this email to your colleagues or to anyone who might be interested. Salaries will be competitive, and the position is available to start immediately in the academic year of 2020-2021.

Postdoctoral candidates will become part of the broader community of fellows at the Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC, https://cquic.unm.edu) at UNM. They will also have collaborative opportunities with a nationwide team of NSF STAQ quantum computing project (https://staq.pratt.duke.edu), which co-designs state-of-the-art ion-trap quantum computers for practical applications.

Your valuable support is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Akimasa Miyake (amiyake at unm.edu, https://cquic.unm.edu/miyake-group/)
