I'd like to brought your attention to the postdoc position opening at
UTS:QSI below.

The Centre for Quantum Software & Information is recruiting for a
Postdoctoral Research Associate to play a key role in research in the
areas of quantum algorithms and complexity theory. Particular areas of
focus include: investigating the power of interactive models of
quantum computation, finding larger speedups in the quantum query
model, and showing lower bounds on quantum circuit size. The position
will be based at the centrally located UTS Campus in Ultimo and be
will jointly supervised by Professor Zhengfeng Ji, Associate Professor
Troy Lee, and Dr Youming Qiao.

The Centre for Quantum Software & Information is one of the top
research centres for quantum information in the world. It comprises
around 15 core members doing research in the areas of quantum
algorithms, quantum complexity theory, quantum information theory, the
theory of quantum programming, and near-term applications of quantum
computers. The Centre members regularly publish in the top conferences
and journals in quantum information.

About the role

   You will have the opportunity to:

   - Deliver high-quality results for government-funded research
projects as a contributor.
   - Work productively on industry projects or international projects.
   - Mentor undergraduate, honours, Masters or high degree research
(HDR) students.
   - Develop competitive grant proposals or industry links and projects.
   - Utilise your familiarity with relevant computer software.

   Comprehensive knowledge in quantum information and computation will
asset you to flourish in the role.

About you

   - You will hold a PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,
Physics or a very closely related field.
   - You will have a demonstrable track record in the area of
theoretical computer science/quantum information through high-quality
research publications (in top Journals/conferences in the related
areas).
   - You have previous experience in any of the following topics:
quantum algorithms, quantum complexity theory.

Remuneration/Salary

   Base Salary Range: AU$89,581 to AU$96,158 pa (Level A. Step 3 - 4)
   This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the
base salary.

   UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits

   This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a
fixed-term basis for 24 months. The starting date is negotiable.
