[Cs-female-staff] [WICS] events this term, and lunch on Jan 15

Dear all,

welcome to the new term!  I have taken over as chair of the Women-in-CS
committee from Nancy Day.  We are looking forward to lots of activities
this term!  Please mark your calendar for the following events:

* Friday, January 15, 12-1: lunch with Abby Goodum (detailed
 	announcement below)
 	Abby will also give a (WIM sponsored) talk at 3:30 that
 	day in DC1304.
* Wednesday, February 3, 12-1: brown bag lunch 
* Wednesday, April 7, 12-1: brown bag lunch

There will also be activities specifically directed at graduate and
undergraduate students, which will be announced separately.

Here is the detailed announcement for the lunch next Friday.  You
*should* have received that a few minutes ago already from the WIM
mailing list; if you didn't (and you would like to be notified about
Women-in-Math events), please contact Fiona Dunbar (fesdunbar at math)
to be added to that mailing list.

The Women in Math Committee, jointly with the Women in CS Committee,
is pleased to invite you to a lunch with Abby Goodrum, the Rogers
Chair in News, Media and Technology at Ryerson University.  We will
host a lunch for female faculty, grads, undergrads, and staff with
Abby on Fri, Jan 15, 12-1 in DC1301 (Fishbowl).    Lunch will be
provided.

Please join us!  We hope to have an active and interesting discussion!
So that we can order the correct amount of food for this lunch, please
send an email to wics at cs.uwaterloo.ca by Mon, Jan 11 at 12noon to
register to attend.  Sorry about the late notice.
