[Cs-female-staff] Women in CS lunch for Grace Hopper Students: Wed 14 Oct

Dear all --

This year, the Women in CS Committee sponsored 9 students (5 undergrads,
4 grads) to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (GHC)
this past week.  In addition to funds from WICS, these students received
funding from the Math Endowment Fund, the SE program, several graduate
supervisors, and a Grace Hopper Scholarship.

We've invited these students to describe to us their
experiences at GHC at a lunch for all women in CS (undergrads, grads, faculty,
and staff) on:

    Date: Wed 14 Oct
    Time: 12-1pm
    Location: DC 1301 (Fishbowl)

Lunch will be provided.  Please join us!  For grads and undergrads, we plan to
sponsor students to attend GHC in 2010 so come to this lunch and find out if you
would like to go to GHC next year.  Usually, all travel/registration expenses are
paid for those who attend GHC sponsored by WICS.

If you plan to attend this lunch, please send email to wics at cs.uwaterloo.ca
by Thu 8 Oct at noon so that we can order the correct amount of food.
