Attached please find the new orientation materials of the QuIN-Lab tomorrow
2017/01/03 Tuesday.

*1. Agenda - 2017/01/03 Tuesday*

   - 9:00am-9:30am (RAC1-1102) Check-in w/ Christine Dietrich (new
   members)/Desk Assignment)
   - 9:30am-11:30am (RAC1-2004) Orientation / Group Meeting Sign-up
   - 11:30am-12:00pm Key Pick-up @ South Campus, Key Control
   - 12:00pm-1:00pm Lunch (Individual)
   - 1:15pm-2:15pm Lab Clean-up (lead: Mats/Michael M)
   - 2:30pm-3:00pm (RAC1-2004) Overview of the QuIN Lab Research Projects
   - 3:00pm-3:30pm (RAC1-2101) Individual Meeting 1
   - 3:30pm-4:00pm (RAC1-2101) Individual Meeting 2
   - 4:00pm-4:30pm (RAC1-2101) Individual Meeting 3
   - 4:30pm-5:00pm (RAC1-2101) Individual Meeting 4

*2. Dress-code*:

As you can see in the QuINLabRules_20161228.pdf, wear appropriate clothing,
especially, closed-toed shoes and long pants.

*3. Safety Training (Due: 2017/01/06 Friday)*

All new members should complete the following on-line safety training
courses. Once you complete, you should send me the completion record by
email.

I was told that your completion of the safety training is required to
receive keys. I believe that if you already have any record of the safety
training completion such as SO1001, SO1010, SO1081, please bring the record
to show Christine Dietrich when you check in in the morning whether she
would give you the key-permit.

   - SO1001 Employee Safety Orientation
   - SO1010 General Lab Satefy
   - SO1030 Cryogenic & Compressed Gas
   - SO1066 Laser Safety Training Theory
   - SO1081 Work Violence-Awareness
   - SO2017 WHMIS2015

** Derek and Dean*, you are volunteers this term. If you like to have a key
fob to RAC1-QNC, please complete the safety trainings and submit your
completion record & Volunteer Agreements. Then, I will arrange key permits
for after-hour/weekend accesses, and if you like, I can ask desks. Please
inform me with your preference.

*4. (New) Weekly Report Template*

   - Please use the following weekly report template.
      - I emphasize here (1) regular literature searches (2) critical paper
      reading.
   - The weekly report due is every *Sat. 5:59 pm starting from 2017/1/7*.
