Dear Colleague,

I would be grateful if you could bring the attached advertisement for
postdoc positions in quantum many-body physics and quantum information
at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics to the attention of
suitable candidates.

Postdoctoral positions in quantum many-body physics/quantum information
at the MPI of Quantum Optics, Munich

The Theory Division at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics in
Munich, Germany, is searching for postdoctoral researchers in the field
of
quantum many-body physics and quantum information. Possible topics
include
tensor network states (both analytical and numerical aspects),
topological
order, entanglement in strongly correlated systems, and the application
of
quantum computers to simulate many-body systems.

Suitable candidates should have a strong background in at least one of
the
aforementioned areas, although outstanding candidates with other
background will also be considered.

Positions will be initially for a two-year period, with the possibility
of
extension. The starting date of the positions is flexible. Applications
will be considered starting immediately, until the positions are filled.

Interested candidates should contact Norbert Schuch
(norbert.schuch at mpq.mpg.de), including a CV and contact data of
potential
referees. Alternatively, applications can also be submitted through the
web interface at
https://lotus1.gwdg.de/mpg/mgqo/mpq_theory_postdoc.nsf/application?OpenForm

For questions, please contact Norbert Schuch
(norbert.schuch at mpq.mpg.de).
