multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on
behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring
the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing
technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and
solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health,
and global security concerns.

The Physics of Condensed Matter and Complex Systems Group at Theoretical
Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking applications for a
staff scientist position in the area of quantum computing and quantum
science. Los Alamos National Laboratory has an active quantum information
science program in which physicists, computer scientists and applied
mathematicians are collaborating to develop new quantum computing,
simulation and algorithm based scenarios. The newly acquired D-Wave
computer provides a unique testbed for many of the quantum algorithms to
solve important physics problems including addressing issues of relevance
to national security.
