Subject: The First Workshop for Quantum Repeaters and Networks:
application open...
To: "Jungsang Kim, Ph.D." <jungsang at duke.edu>

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce that online application for the 1st Workshop
for Quantum Repeaters and Networks is now open. The workshop will be
held from May 15-17, 2015 in historic Asilomar Conference Grounds in
Pacific Grove, California. It is a follow-up to the Quantum Repeater
Symposium held as a part of CLEO/QELS 2014 in San Jose. The goal of
this workshop is to bring the active research community together to
discuss the progress, challenges and new possible directions for
quantum repeaters and networks.

The application deadline is January 31. In order to establish a
productive workshop with plenty of discussions, the number of
attendees at the workshop will be limited to no more than 100.
Applicants are thus asked to submit either a poster abstract or a
brief statement of their background and motivation for attending.
Participants will be notified by the end of February.

Online application is via the conference website:
http://wqrn.pratt.duke.edu/

We are looking forward to a productive workshop and encourage you to apply!

Sincerely,
the Organizing Committee
