Subject: Postdoctoral and faculty positions at the University of Bristol

Dear colleagues,

I'd like to draw your attention to several quantum-related positions
currently available within the Computer Science department at the
University of Bristol. I'd be grateful if you could forward this to anyone
who may be interested (apologies for any cross-posting).

First, there are two postdoctoral positions available (32 months each) in
the Quantum Computation and Quantum Information research group, with a
focus on the theory of quantum computation.

More details:
http://www.bristol.ac.uk/jobs/find/details.html?nPostingTargetId=7002 .
Deadline is 26 June.

As well as applicants with a background in the theory of quantum
computation and/or quantum information, we would welcome applicants with a
background in classical theoretical computer science or quantum physics,
and with an interest in quantum computing.

For any informal enquiries about these positions, please contact me
directly (ashley at cs.bris.ac.uk).

Second, there are several more general faculty positions available in the
CS department which may be of interest (deadline 22 June):

- Lecturer (approx. Assistant Professor) in Theory and Algorithms,
including quantum computing (3 year fixed term)
- Lecturer in core Computer Science (one open-ended position, one 3 year
fixed term)

More details:

best wishes,
