Subject: Call for Papers: Coherence and Quantum Optics and Quantum
Information and Measurement

Dear Colleague,

Two international conferences of wide interest to OSA members will be held
during the week of June 17-20, 2013 and will be co-located on the campus of
the University of Rochester. For details, including registration and paper
submission information, see the website http://cqo.pas.rochester.edu/

The first of these two meetings is the Rochester Conference on Coherence and
Quantum Optics (CQO), meeting for the tenth time, having been held once each
six years since their inception in 1960. These conferences have
traditionally brought together the leaders in theoretical and experimental
coherence and quantum optics from throughout the world to review the
progress of the field and to examine the most attractive future directions.

The second is the international conference on Quantum Information and
Measurement (QIM). Its mandate, to cover the foremost developments in
quantum information and quantum measurement, was addressed in the first
meeting, held in Berlin, and this year the second meeting, QIM-2, will
explore the rapid evolution of key topics.

An indication of the coverage to be expected of these rapidly moving fields
is provided by a glance at the wide variety of invited speakers who have
provided an early confirmation of
attendance: Alain Aspect, Mete Attature, Rainer Blatt, Howard Carmichael,
Fred Cummings, Luiz Davidovich, Claude Fabre, James Franson, Akira Furusawa,
Dan Gauthier, Elisabeth Giacobino, Steven Girvin, Franco Gori, Daniel James,
Jeff Kimble, Alex Kuzmich, Paul Kwiat, Paul Lett, Misha Lukin, Christoph
Marquardt, Carlos Monken, Miles Padgett, Jian-Wei Pan, Martin Plenio,
Gerhard Rempe, Keith Schwab, Alexander Sergienko, Christoph Simon, Aephraim
Steinberg, Robert Thew, Wolfgang Tittel, Jeff Tollakson, Vlatko Vedral,
Werner Vogel, Ian Walmsley, Andrew White, Howard Wiseman, Jian-Qiang You,
Anton Zeilinger, Suhail Zubairy.

The Program Committees send their invitation to attend and contribute to
these two exciting meetings.
