Hi Dan,

There was an awkward typo in the previous announcement I sent you. Since it
hasn't gone out yet, would you mind replacing the previous version with
this one? Many thanks!

Stanford University Postdoc in Theoretical Quantum Information Science

The Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics (SITP) invites applications
for a postdoctoral scholar position in quantum information science. Areas
of interest include core quantum information subjects such as algorithms,
communication and fault-tolerance, in addition to connections with other
branches of physics. SITP researchers with active interests in the area
include Patrick Hayden (quantum information), Xiao-Liang Qi (condensed
matter), Steve Shenker (high energy theory) and Lenny Susskind (high energy
theory).

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to interact with
the many other Stanford researchers whose work intersects with quantum
information, including Dan Boneh (post-quantum cryptography), Sean Hartnoll
(high energy theory), Mark Kasevich (quantum metrology), Benjamin Lev
(quantum matter), Hideo Mabuchi (quantum control), Monika Schleier-Smith
(atomic physics), Luca Trevisan (quantum complexity theory) and Yoshihisa
Yamamoto (quantum information).

Please apply via http://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/3701. A curriculum
vitae, publication list, statement of research interests and three letters
of recommendation are required. Review of applications will begin on
January 6, 2013.
