PhD and postdoc positions at the Institute for Quantum Optics and
Quantum Information, Innsbruck, Austria



Applications are invited for PhD and postdoctoral positions in the new
theory group at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum
Information (IQOQI) in Innsbruck, Austria. The group's research is at
the exciting interface of quantum optics, atomic and molecular
physics, condensed matter physics, and quantum information science.

1. curriculum vitae [including the list of publications (if any)]

2. academic records [grades for undergraduate and (if any) graduate classes]

3. brief [maximum 1 or 2 pages] statement of research interests and
how they relate to the work in my group [a short informal statement is
OK]

4a. For a PhD position: names of one or more potential referees

4b. For a postdoctoral position: names of at least three potential referees



DEADLINE: Please submit your application no later than September 30,
2012. Applications submitted after September 30 might be considered if
the positions are not filled by that time.

STARTING DATE: while the group officially starts on March 1, 2013,
postdocs and PhD students can have starting dates any time (before,
on, or after March 1).
