POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN QUANTUM INFORMATION, QUANTUM COMPUTATION
AND FOUNDATIONS OF QUANTUM MECHANICS.

The quantum computation and information group at the University of
Bristol offers a number of post-doctoral positions of two years
duration, available for research in theoretical aspects of quantum
information, quantum computation and foundations of quantum mechanics.

The staff members in the theory group are Noah Linden (Mathematics),
Sandu Popescu (Physics), Karoline Wiesner (Mathematics) and Andreas
Winter (Mathematics). For a description of the group, see the group
homepage http://www.cs.bris.ac.uk/Research/QuantumComputing/. The
positions are funded by the European Commission, the John Templeton
Foundation, and the European Research Council (ERC). The start date is
1 September 2011 or later by mutual agreement.

The positions are to be held in either the School of Mathematics or
School of Physics, by mutual agreement. Furthermore, applicants should
also arrange for three referees to send letters of recommendation
directly to Helen Craven, School of Mathematics, University of
Bristol, University Walk, Bristol,BS8 1TW, email
helen.craven at bristol.ac.uk, quoting the reference number, by the
closing date. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the
reference letters are received by the closing date.

permanent contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant
