These positions are within the newly-founded Institute for Quantum
Information at the RWTH Aachen (IQI Aachen)

The candidates should have done an outstanding postdoc in quantum
information theory; the positions are at the "W1 Juniorprofessor" level,
equivalent to the North-American Assistant Professor.  There are
tenure-tracks for both positions.  The interests of the applicant can
span a wide range of topics, from the fundamental theory of quantum
entanglement, to current condensed-matter applications of quantum
information theory, to the phenomenology of experiments on solid state
qubits.  Concerning the latter, various experimental groups in Aachen,
but particularly that of Hendrik Bluhm, will be interested in
collaborations with the new institute and its members.  Please also note
that there is a newly-forming department of Theoretical Nanoelectronics
at the nearby Forschungszentrum Juelich,
