[MacTUG] Release of new WCMS 2 version and software updates - delayed to June 12

ATTENTION: Due to the side effects of the server breach containment, some people may have not received this message. This announcement is being resent to all recipients out of an abundance of caution.


What is happening? The release of the new version of WCMS 2 <https://uwaterloo.ca/web-resources/news/wcms-292-release?> will be delayed to June 12 to June 15, 2023. The database software used for the forms server and the caching software used for production will also be updated on June 12, 2023.



When is this happening? The release of the new version of WCMS 2 will occur on Monday June 12 to Thursday June 15 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The updates of the database and caching software will occur on Monday June 12 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.



What is the impact and what should I do? The forms server and forms sites will be completely unavailable for a period of time during the updates. It is recommended that any "mission critical" forms should be temporarily disabled prior to the upgrade window to avoid forms being submitted while your site is being upgraded. All forms can be re-enabled following the upgrade window.


Note: No forms must be closed as this is left to the discretion of the site maintainer.



For all sites, please log out of your site and do not work on your site during this upgrade window.
