Poster Presentations: WatITis Conference 2019
"An IT conference made for you, by you!"

The WatITis conference will be on Tuesday, December 4th 2019 in the Science Teaching Centre (STC).

We invite you to collaborate with your group to display a poster presentation at our 17th annual WatITis conference.  Presentation spots are limited so apply early to secure a spot!  New floor location TBA!

Groups

A group is a representative team of people who provide Information Technology support.  For example, groups who support Faculty areas such as Arts Computing Office or the Cheriton School of Computer Science or groups in the EC2 building such as Portfolio Management, Enterprise Resource Planning Systems or Information Security Services.

How it works

The morning of the conference, your poster will be setup for you in advance.  See an example poster and display board below.

One or multiple individuals from your group can stand at your display in between sessions and at lunch.

Interact with other conference attendees and show-case how your group supports Information Technology initiatives on the University of Waterloo campus!

Presentation Content

What works best at a poster presentation:  IT function presentations (how your group supports IT initiatives on campus), IT project work, topics that attract audience feedback/interaction, current operational activities, topics of general IT interest etc.

Submission Deadline

Please submit your group's intention to participate by August 9, 2019 to watitis2019 at sharepoint.nexus.uwaterloo.ca<mailto:watitis2019 at sharepoint.nexus.uwaterloo.ca> - Presentation spots are limited!

If you know of any additional groups who support Information Technology on-campus who may be interested, please forward this invitation to participate.
