[MacTUG] DEP process failures and recovery

With Jamf Pro, I find that it takes time for the serial numbers to take affect from ASM.


It says so on the DEP settings screen when updating your settings.

It seems more likely with older machines than fresh out-of-the-box but we get the Data & Privacy

screen instead of the Remote Management. Reseting PRAM, trying different network, ad nauseam

don't seem to help ... just time.  One theory is that the machine contacts a wonky Apple server

and needs to "timeout" in order for it to contact a non-wonky. Any one experiencing similar?


The serial numbers are harvested from the machines.  The "activation" in ASM should be immediate, correct?
