With Jamf Pro, I find that it takes time for the serial numbers to take affect from ASM.
It says so on the DEP settings screen when updating your settings.

Subject: [MacTUG] DEP process failures and recovery
It seems more likely with older machines than fresh out-of-the-box but we get the Data & Privacy
screen instead of the Remote Management. Reseting PRAM, trying different network, ad nauseam
don't seem to help ... just time. One theory is that the machine contacts a wonky Apple server
and needs to "timeout" in order for it to contact a non-wonky. Any one experiencing similar?
The serial numbers are harvested from the machines. The "activation" in ASM should be immediate, correct?
Dani
