Erick Engelke verified that the last time he worked on the core
shellscript was 2010. He still has the source code if it is needed.

I think the issue is the mac installer script. It was 'compiled' on a 32
bit macos. If anyone, has a 64 bit utility that creates mac installers,
then they can fix the issue.
