[MacTUG] System size expansion runs out of disk space

One of my users reported that his Mojave system blows up to 60 GB over a 
few weeks. He has tried Onyx and it did not help. He normally backs up 
his apps, and then clean-installs the system.

When I check my systems, they are only 2 to 3 times the size of when I 
installed them.

Has anyone seen something like this?
