What is happening? Drupal, the underlying system for WCMS sites, will be releasing a security upgrade that will likely have to be installed immediately due to the potential impact of the release. More information available at: https://www.drupal.org/psa-2018-001

When is this happening? Wednesday, March 28 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Important note: If the update is not as critical as expected, it will be pushed back until the evening to limit impact to sites during the day. Additional communication will be shared if the upgrade is deferred until the evening.

What do you users need to do? Please log out of your site and do not work on your site during this upgrade window. We will do our best to ensure that sites will remain available to site visitors during the upgrade window, but we cannot guarantee this.

After the upgrade is complete: You can continue to work on your site as usual. Report any issues immediately.

Questions or concerns? Please submit to rt-ist-wcms at rt.uwaterloo.ca<mailto:rt-ist-wcms at rt.uwaterloo.ca> or the IST Service Desk, helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca<mailto:helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca>, ext. 44357.
