[MacTUG] Long log in times for AD macs

I don’t really understand this but it seems that if I unbind the macs manually and then rebind it (currently manually) everything is fine.

I have tried re-imaging a computer using deploystudio and still get the same probs. I also have not touched the workflow that binds things in Deploystudio and it has worked fine for years and I use the same info when I manually am binding it. I think I will just suck it up and manually hit each lab computer – with a few helpers it should really just take an hour or so. (No I don’t need volunteers haha)

As I said to Manfred who touched base with me, I guess I will have something to troubleshoot over the fall!

Has anyone else had issues with Deploystudio and AD binding?

Subject: [MacTUG] Long log in times for AD macs

Is anyone having this issue. All of a sudden my Macs seem to be taking about 30 seconds to log on. I am talking about AD bound macs using Profile Manager. I don’t think it is Profile Manager as I have pulled this out of the equation on a test machine.

At first I thought it was my new El Cap build but old computers are doing it to!

I am getting this message in my console that looks mysterious: "nsworkspace volume notifications are taking longer…"

Any suggestions?
