Hi Dani,

I have not seen that particular message before, but I have some suggestions:

1. Uninstall AnyConnect
2. Delete leftover files:

rm -r ~/.cisco/vpn/
rm -r /opt/cisco/anyconnect/
rm -r /opt/cisco/vpn/

3. Re-install from https://cn-vpn.uwaterloo.ca

The vpn.pkg should not require re-packaging, but if you do so, make sure 
the name stays as "vpn.pkg"
