Ya I would certainly not recommend his strategy, and their are a few comments where folks said they would have tried a little harder to work around the firewall. I think he like using scripts and did not want to use profile manager. To be fair I sometimes use UserTemplate hacks (and daemons) to do stuff that profile manager could do. But I usually have my reasons ;-)
