[MacTUG] Known issue with AD bound 10.10 macs failing to reboot after some power interruptions

The workaround for machines already stuck at the black screen with white Apple logo with the progress bar stuck between 30-50% is as follows

Boot to single user mode holding down (command)⌘s

At prompt type ‘mount –uw /‘

/usr/bin/vi /etc/rc.server

Type i for insert
#!/bin/sh
/usr/sbin/BootCacheControl jettison
Escape key
:wq

You will receive an error message re $HOME it is safe to ignore
At prompt type ‘reboot'
