Subject: UPDATE: Issue with some telephone calls being dropped - Dec 9
UPDATE: The vendor has informed IST that the telephone system requires a restart.
When will this happen? The system restart is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. tonight (Dec 9) and will last for approximately 15 minutes.
What is the impact? During this maintenance window, campus telephones will be unavailable. Lync calls to non-Lync users will also be affected.
IST will continue to monitor the system over the next several days.

What is happening? Some telephone calls on campus are being dropped. The caller will hear 1-2 rings and then the call is disconnected.
