[MacTUG] One user cannot log on to AD-Authenticating macs

This was an interesting resolution

The user COULD log on to the NEXUS Pcs but his N Drive was corrupt and would not mount (this has been resolved).

But the Mac will not log on it the N-Drive is corrupt! I knew that an account required an N-Drive to log on as I had experienced this before, but I did not think that this could be an issue if the user could log on to a PC. I foolishly has wondered about his profile — which is dumb because that is the directory that the mac has no interest in! I did not think about the integrity of his N-Drive.

What is particularly interesting, is that I am NOT using the N-drive for storing any data from the Mac — I have the accounts set up to be Mobile accounts that do not store data on the N-drive. But nonetheless if it has troubles, the user can not log on!!!!

This one is driving me nuts (OK more nuts)

I have one user and all his info seems OK (his watiam stuff, his AD info) and he just cannot log on to the macs. He has even tried to log on to a new mac built with a new install and pointing to a new profile manager. Very strange. I am not giving folks much but any suggestions on this one?

I have not checked the logs yet as I don’t specifically have a machine he has logged onto to look at – tho I am asking him in to ascertain this info
