What is happening? Automated email alerts to owners of Wi-Fi devices that are giving authentication errors will be activated.

When is this happening? Email alerts will start on Tuesday February 4 at 8:30 am.

Why is this being done? To make users aware of configuration and other problems on their W-Fi devices that are affecting their user experience.

What is the impact? Wi-Fi users experiencing authentication problems connecting will be sent an email describing the problem, and where to get help. How will they receive that e-mail, if their device can't connect? The next time they connect to their email via home/school/work internet or phone they will see the email and be able to troubleshoot the connection issue on the device in question.

Questions/concerns? Please contact the IST Service Desk, helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca<mailto:helpdesk at uwaterloo.ca> or ext 84357.
