[MacTUG] applescript vs automator...

I mix them. Both can invoke each other.
Automator only lets you use the puzzle pieces … sometimes you need your own thing.

I also have a FileMaker script that invokes an AppleScript that builds a mail message in Outlook. Whee!!

Hi guys
I have built something in automator but I kind of like the version I have put together in applescript.

Is Applescript still have apple's blessing or is it quasi-deprecated in favour of Automator? For tiny little things Applescript is just better.
