[MacTUG] SMB printing help

If someone can help me out with this is would be great, as it is blocking me testing some new print release software (that will eventually be offered campus wide). The product prefers SMB connections (hence all my SMB questions yesterday).

It works with 10.9 but with the Xerox 5550 printer and 10.8 a ‘second’ print job gets created called ‘Printer Status’ that states “Hold for Authentication”

The job can print but these ‘hold for authentication’ notes do not clear up. I am pretty sure it is something in the driver as it prints fine with the generic postscript driver

The frustrating thing is that it works with 10.9 no probs.

Any suggestions??
