[MacTUG] UNIX command line for configuring printer via ARD

lpadmin -p lp5_stats -E -v "smb://prntsrv1.math.uwaterloo.ca/lp5_stats" -P '/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/HP LaserJet 600 M601 M602 M603.gz' -o printer-is-shared=false -o HPOption_Duplexer=True

If it says the gz is not found, I use ARD Install for the driver.

I also find this useful (requires Xcode)

/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c Print /Library/Preferences/org.cups.printers.plist | fgrep -e device-uri -e printer-make-and-model
