So as soon as you log in, it puts "Apple ID" in your face.
The notification centre is the next thing you notice.
In System Preferences, the other obvious new thing is
Dictation which warns you that enabling sends your contacts to Apple
with no way to opt out of that part.
Notes and Reminders are new on the Dock with other being renamed
such as Contacts and Calendar. 
Still X11 … when are they going to move to X12?
