[MacTUG] a MAC SVN server for packages

I have a proposal for a general Mac SVN server
for campus that will allow storage and distribution
of packages and OS's for apple platforms.  For 
example, maple-14.0. I packaged this up using the
general maple licence server which would be great
for any lab machine.  Updated OS's for different
Apple platforms.  Is this a good idea?
