[MacTUG] Some duplicate messages

Yeah... I'm on the MacTug list but I don't know about trevor at uwaterloo.ca<mailto:trevor at uwaterloo.ca> :)
Don't worry about duplicates - if it has the same message id as a previously received message, Exchange will not deliver the second copy.

We've had reports of some duplicate messages coming in. There was a server in the mail cluster that was problematic earlier on in the week and held onto some mail for an extended period of time before delivering it (it was also telling sending servers that valid accounts didn't exist). So, we put the glitches down to that. If it continues, let me know and we can investigate. Message caching might be involved somewhere along the line.

We had a few users that had a batch of duplicate messages. I think it was a one time deal when either they were migrated or when their mac clients (all mac mail 10.6) started up for the first time.

Have you heard of this, or any ideas?
