There is an Apple tech note http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3258 dealing with how 10.6 deals with incompatible ( or known incompatible ) software. Basically, it sounds like when one does an installation of 10.6, any know incompatible software is moved from the Applications folder to one called Incompatible Software
