One of the great things about the Managed Preferences framework of MacOS X is that you can manage just about anything. If it uses the standard defaults system, you can manage it. What this means most of the time is importing the preferences into Workgroup Manager after youhave set them. But what if you want to set a new preference without the need to reimport everything? That can be a pain as you try to decipher cryptic keys each time. Apple has a solution though, the preference manifest.
