[MacTUG] DHCP release

I've got a machine with a wired Ethernet
on a Network Authentication Application network
so that people using it have to identify themselves
to the network.
It works if they disconnect but if they don't,
the DHCP doesn't release.

I've tried this:

  /usr/sbin/scselect Wireless
  /usr/sbin/scselect Ethernet

  /sbin/ifconfig en0 down
  /sbin/ifconfig en0 up

in that order, doesn't help much.
