I don't know if this will become a trend or not, but it is an  
interesting development.

One area this approach is very useful is when having dual OS's on a  
system, such as OS X and Windows (especially the Bootcamp approach)  
and being able to have a software package available under both OS.  
Right now, if one wanted something like Office or Dreamweaver  
available when running either OS X or Windows environments, one would  
need two licenses.
